| Beachtown
is one of the few places in the South where nature is actually
making the beaches wider - adding more than three feet per
year over the past three decades. Walkover passages protect
our beautiful dunes, allowing pedestrians to reach the shore
without damaging sea oats and other flora of this amazing
habitat. The beaches of Galveston Island are home to a rich
diversity of shore birds and other wildlife. And Beachtown's
natural lagoons provide an exquisite view of the wildlife
habitats that make Galveston Island an ecological wonder. |
