New Model Home
Beachtown's
new Model Home and Sales Center is now complete!
This building was designed by renowned South Carolina
Architect, Eric Brown, who has contributed to the
architectural design of a number of TNDs across
the country. The design captures the Coastal Vernacular
expression of residences found along the Gulf Coast.
Site elements such as the white picket fence, brick
paver walkways, and the landscaping, each contribute
to the overall aesthetic of the home's exterior.
The home's abundant porches and open floor plan
provide occupants the much-desired opportunity
to experience coastal breezes and magnificent views
of the Gulf, wetlands, reserves, and the Ship Channel.
For the ultimate in unobstructed viewing, occupants
need look no further than the Tower room at top,
which provides amazing views in all directions!
Sales Manager, Vicki Bird states, "We're very
proud of our new Model Home and are excited about
showing it off to the public!". ![]()
New Beachfront Construction
Property
owners have resumed new home construction in both Village One and East
Village. Experiencing Ike helped architects and builders further refine
their expertise as they continue work on Beachtown projects. At Beachtown,
innovative measures are taken to protect residents and buildings, addressing
the concerns of those residing close to the Gulf of Mexico.
New Plans
Having withstood Hurricane Ike and proven its durability,
Beachtown continues to receive inquiries and positive
feedback from individuals across the country. Several
new designs for future residences have been submitted
by property owners seeking architectural approvals,
illustrating the confidence property owners and
buyers have in Beachtown.
· Milosav Cekic, an Austin-based Architect who designed Beachtown’s first Town Center building, recently submitted Conceptual Design drawings for a new residence. The future building is to be located next to Village One’s Pavilion/Dune Walk-over structure. This design expresses a beautiful interpretation of the Victorian residences found in Historic Galveston.
· A large residence on the Lagoon, crafted by noted South Carolina Designer Eric Moser, has received architectural approvals and is moving forward in the permitting phase. The home features abundant porch space and its Coastal Vernacular expression blends perfectly with Beachtown’s coastal setting.
Beactown in the News
During
the past few months Beachtown has received national
attention, including write-ups in the national
publication Coastal Living Magazine. In
addition, several Beachtown residences, as well
as the Post
Office, were presented on Times Square’s
large television screens. The Grand Opening of
the Coastal Living Magazine Idea House was
only weeks away when Hurricane Ike made landfall.
To
many observers’ surprise, Beachtown residences
performed outstandingly. However, Beachtown’s
participating architects, engineers and builders
showed no such surprise, as each knew full well
the extent to which these buildings were designed
and built. Shortly thereafter, Coastal Living Magazine
published a follow-up article highlighting the
amazing performance of Beachtown and the Idea House.
Since Hurricane Ike’s passing, Beachtown has become the focus of attention for coastal structural engineers, scientists and media. Its outstanding performance in wake of Hurricane Ike has given Beachtown the reputation of achieving the gold standard of construction amongst coastal communities. Politicians, insurance industry representatives and FEMA scientists are eager to learn more about these standards. Florida is widely known as the ‘silicon valley’ of Hurricane science. Beachtown’s founder was recently invited to speak to Hurricane Science for Safety in Florida.

Beachtown Dunes
The Beachtown dunes have been re-established and vegetated. Not only do the
dunes provide natural beauty, they serve as a boundary to the Gulf tide.
Idea House
The
Coastal Living Magazine's Idea House is
scheduled to open to the public in March.
Beachtown

Foundation, with all proceeds from ticket sales
going to the GHF. Beachtown and the GHF share great
admiration for the architecture and history of
Historic Galveston and the Strand, and are very
excited to present the Idea House to the public.
